India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) “Mangalyaan”, will leave earth’s gravity at 12.49 am .The Trans-Mars Injection, as it is called, will slingshot Mangalyaan into its heliocentric orbit towards Mars.The count down has begun and ISRO scientist are eagerly waiting as this a crucial stage of the mission.”Everything is ready. The team of scientists is on the job,” an Isro spokesperson said.The 1,337kg Orbiter was launched Nov 5 from Sriharikota.It will move into the Mars orbit on September 24, 2014.
