New Delhi: The thrilling victory of BJP under Narendra Modi’s leadership has strengthened his hands further.
As per his nature, he would prefer to have free hands for choosing his team of ministers and assign portfolios.
This impression on Narendra Modi was expressed by senior BJP leaders.
Without appearing to be hard-headed, Modi is expected to sworn in as the Prime Minister of India on or before May 21.
As one BJP leader said, he had not interfered in the selection of party candidates for the Lok Sabha polls. Similarly, he would “appreciate” if he is allowed to pick his team without the influence of the party or its ideological parent, the RSS.
The chief quality of Narendra Modi is said to be his ability to deliver targets.
He would also like to include young and fresh faces to infuse energy into the new government.
Nevertheless, Modi is expected to discuss with other BJP leaders, to finalise a list that represents the mandate received across the nation. He would rather prefer to cover all sections of society. According to BJP leaders, Modi is not interested in using pressure tactics and also not wanted any senior leader to be alienated.
