Washington: US President Barack Obama has said that he is looking forward to work closely with the next government in India. He wants to make the coming years equally trans-formative for both the countries.
Obama congratulated the people of India on the successful conclusion of the Lok Sabha polls, saying that the country has set an example to the world by holding the largest democratic election in history.
He was reviewing the nine-phase of polls which concluded recently and the counting of votes which is proposed to take place on May 16.
In his statement, Obama has also referred the strong friendship that the two countries have developed over the last decades, cutting across party lines.
