Paris: High pollution in the city of Paris has forced the French government to take certain stringent measures to curb the conditions.
It has been noticed that the reason for the pollution is the speedy increase in the number of cars which are plying across the city.
So the authorities have asked people to minimize the usage of cars through the city.
As a first step to control the pollution, the authorities have decided to allow only motorists whose cars have odd-numbered registration plates.
Next turn of this rule will be to those with even-numbered registration plates.
Ministers were acting on this after the pollution rate exceeded beyond the safe levels in Paris and surrounding areas.
