Congress Vice president Rahul Gandhi stated that his party will be giving more consideration to women in the forthcoming election in India. He pointed out that the overall development of the nation can only be made possible by the active participation of women almost in all sectors. He wished the representation of more women in Parliament, Legislative assemblies, police forces and other sectors which ensures reliable contact with common men. He said that the women reservation bill which has already passed by the Rajya Sabha should also be passed by the Lok Sabha. He assured that his party will provide all possible support to strengthen women in the society. He also expressed his desire to give more opportunities to women in the elections to come in future.
