New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned after he suffered a defeat in the assembly through a political gamble regarding the Jan Lokpal Bill. Following the incident he has recommended assembly dissolution and fresh polls.
The Jan-Lok-Pal Bill is a highly reliable system to control corruption in the country. According to Kejriwal when the bill was presented in the assembly, both BJP and congress have opposed the same.
Kejriwal was called to form the ministry by the Delhi Lt. Governor when BJP the first major party in the Delhi Assembly poll rejected to form the Government.
His Aam Aadmi party was the second largest party in the Delhi Assembly polls. On viewing his emergence and influence in the political field, world referred him as the new experiment in the Indian democratic system. He has ruled the capital city as Chief minister for just 49 days.
