New Delhi: Sunanda Pushkar, the wife of the Union minister Shashi Tharoor, was found dead in her room in a five-star hotel in New Delhi. She was 52 years old.

The death came two days after her message in twitter that there was a problem in their marriage since her husband was having an affair with a Pakistani journalist. Following this incident, Sunanda had confirmed through her tweets that she would seek divorce.

But the couple had issued a statement last day saying that they are in a happily married mood and intend to continue in that manner. There was a statement from Shashi Tharoor saying that Sunanda is hospitalised because of illness and the Doctor has advised her to take rest.
