Sunanda Pushkar’s death: Might be due to drug

New Delhi: It is reported that the reason for the unnatural death of Sunanda Pushkar might be due to drug overdose. According to AIIMS doctors, there was no trace of alcohol in her body even though some evidences regarding the presence of anti-depressant drug was likely.

The three-member board of doctors who performed postmortem at the AIIMS had referred her death as sudden and unnatural. AIIMS sources said that the presence of Alprazolam, which belongs to a group of psychoactive, cannot be ruled out. Investigators have recovered an empty strip of Alprax from the hotel room. Doctors are of the assumption that she might have used the same as sedative.
