Dubai: Two professional base jumpers Vince Reffet and Fred Fugen from France proved that setting a new world record is absolutely a thrill. They have successfully jumped off from the world’s tallest man made structure, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and found a place in the Guinness book of world records.
The duo broke the Guinness World Record for their 828-meter jump grabbing the title from Emirate’s jumpers Nasser Al Neyadi and Omar Al Hegelan for their 672-meter base jump in 2010.
During the jump, Reffet and Fugen were leaping off three meter, by one meter platform, constructed at the top of tower specifically for this special jump. For this auspicious occasion, they were dressed in spectacular yellow jumpsuits.
Both of them performed some tricks using their winged-suits to glide their movements, before releasing their parachutes for the safe landing on the ground.
They were preparing for this particular jump for the last one year. The jump was sponsored by ‘Sky dive’, Dubai.
