UPA Government to establish cabinet proposals

New Delhi: In view of the forthcoming election, the UPA government is getting ready to establish nearly a dozen Cabinet proposals. Some of them are appeared to be highly populist and hope to beat the model code of conduct that comes into force with the announcement of election date..
Among the proposals, the most attractive one is the order for a minimum pension of Rs 1,000 per month to all members of the Employees’ Provident Fund Pension Scheme. Next one is an approval to impose President’s Rule in Andhra Pradesh.
The rest of the proposals include Right to Services & Grievances, bill for time-bound delivery of goods and services to citizens and bill for the Prevention of Corruption.
These ordinances must get the President’s approval by Saturday as the code of conduct would prevent promulgation of any ordinance.
The bill for corruption was the proposals put-forth by the congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
The Election Commission is likely to announce poll dates on March 2.
