Geneva: As per the International Labor Organization (ILO) reports the Global unemployment has gone up by five million in the year 2013.
Even though the business activities are flourishing up globally, the misery of unemployment continues to be in a grim situation. The UN labor agency’s director general Guy Ryder said that the route of global unemployment is still upwards. According to him the rate of global unemployment would be increased in the coming years if the prevailing trend still persists.
Ryder told to reporters that he has released the annual employment report prepared by the ILO. As per that, about 215 million people all over the world are expected to be unemployed by the year 2018. The report has also warned that the existing condition would be worsened further. So Ryder has stressed the need to put the rising unemployment matter in front of international policy-making. According to him there is a clear relationship between the unacceptable levels of global unemployment and the growing inequality.
