Westmead (Australia): An Australian mother has given birth to a baby having two faces and one body.
Doctors attended the baby could find that it has only one heart while separate brains.
The Sydney-based couple Renee Young and Simon Howie welcomed their twin daughters on 8 May, nearly six weeks earlier to their delivery due date.
The conjoined twins, born with a rare medical condition known as Diprosopus.
This is the birth condition with only one set of heart, body and skull while having separate brains with two identical faces.
The parents Young and Howie are already parents to seven children and came to know about the rare occurrence of fetus by 19th week of the pregnancy.
Both of them decided to proceed with it and now they are happy about their decision.
Interestingly, it has been reported by various media sources that the twin faced girl is recovering rapidly at the Children’s Hospital in Westmead.
