Paris: Car race world champion Michael Schumacher is said to be in a critical condition after being injured while skiing in Alps mountain ranges at southeast France. In the said skiing accident his head was hit on a rock in Alps and suffered severe cerebral hemorrhage. He was then admitted to the University Hospital Center of Grenoble from where he was subjected to an immediate surgery for the serious head trauma. As per the latest reports he is in ‘coma’ stage.
The 44-year-old Michael Schumacher was seven times German F1 world champion. He had worn a helmet while skiing and was conscious when rescuers first rushed to the accident venue. Earlier report was that Schumacher had been taken to Grenoble for tests and his life was not in danger. Schumacher’s manager Sabine Kehm said in an email sent to ‘The Associated Press’ that the champion German driver was on a private skiing trip who fell meanwhile and injured badly on his head.
