New Delhi: It is said that Chinese troops have made a fresh attempt to violate their border with India in Chumar near Ladakh. The troops were withdrawn when the ITBP and Army-men formed a human wall to block their intrusion effort.
Chumar, is located 300 km east of Leh and has been noticed as an important geographic point where the Chinese army men had conducted their border violation activities before. According to the official sources the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) had been making increased attempts to enter through this region.
As per the details furnished by the sources, nine PLA soldiers were first reached the border area at 7 a.m. on March 16, 2014 who were stopped by the Indian jawans.
Then 10 more PLA personnel arrived on the scene riding horses and joined their colleagues to make attempt to move ahead into the Indian territory.
Chinese troops claimed that the territory is belonging to them and headed towards to Tible area which is 5 km deep into the Indian territory.
Justifying their action, the troops told the Indian troops that they were ordered by the PLA headquarters to conduct an assessment of the Tible area.
However, when more Indian troops arrived in, the Chinese troops made a unanimous withdrawal by 9 a.m. on the same day.
