New York: The Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama who has been visiting US said that he wanted to see India and China maintaining very good friendship. According to him keeping rivalry between these two Asian powers is not at all good for either Tibetans in China or people of Asia as a whole.
He has urged the need to develop trust and faith between these two neighbors which in-turn would enable both of them to achieve adequate economic developments. The 78 year old Tibetan spiritual leader was in an interaction with US time magazine.
Meanwhile Dalai Lama appreciated China’s new president Xi Jinping, for his courageous decisions to tackle corruption in the country very effectively, even though he is not at all happy over the censorship prevailing in the Chinese society. He has also pointed out the need to bring developments in rural areas of the country.
