Hong Kong: Several passengers and crew members on a Cathay Pacific jumbo jet aircraft were injured when it hit by turbulence over northern Japan. One passenger on board the plane explained the turbulence as horrible than a “roller coaster” ride.
The Boeing 747-400, which was carrying 321 passengers and 21 crew members, disturbed by sudden and unexpected turbulence when it was flying over Hokkaido in Japan.
According to South China Morning Post newspaper, two crew members and some passengers in the Cathay Pacific Jumbo Jet were injured while the violent sky air tackled the plane.
The flight was from San Francisco to Hong Kong and when it landed at the southern Chinese city’s airport, there were ambulances and emergency vehicles to offer immediate medical assistance. One of the injured was taken to hospital on a stretcher.
The airline authorities said that they had provided medical attention to the injured on board before the flight was landed.
Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department has been collaborating with the airline authorities for the investigation purposes. Cathay Pacific is considered as Hong Kong’s flagship airline.
