New Delhi: The Green court in India has decided to ban vehicles older than fifteen years in Delhi.
This was following the worsened atmospheric air condition in the capital city.
The National Green Tribunal(NGT) which cited the report has issued a good deal of directions to face the problem.
The court was ordering a ban on both petrol and diesel vehicles older than 15 years.
To enforce the order, an estimated 10 Lakh vehicles should be taken off the road.
It also ban the burning of waste in the open area in addition to the restrictions on parking and overloaded trucks.
NGT has the powers of a civil court and sought immediate steps for building cycle tracks in the city.
