The globally renowned social networking site, ‘Facebook’ suffered a brief international breakdown during the early hours on Thursday.
This has left millions of users to satisfy with error messages.
In a statement through the social networking site, the authorities said that they have been trying hard to get it corrected.
Facebook users in United Kingdom, Israel and India have effected this fault severely.
Facebook authorities said In an email to NBC News that they were aware about the problem, but not described either the technical failures or the reason behind the outage of the social networking site.
Moreover they did not mention how many users were affected by this fault.
After an hour, there were reports that the social networking site has started functioning normally.
But according to certain users, the Facebook site is still maintaining its doomed condition.
As per the data collected, 80 percent of the 1.28 billion global users of the Facebook site are outside the US and Canada.
