G8 allies no more: Hereafter G7 allies

Hague: United States and its closest allies have decided to oust Russia from the Group of 8 industrialized democracies (G8). So now, in their most exclusive club, there are only seven nations. Thus the name of their association will be known as G7 hereafter. Currently the countries in G7 are United States, Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Canada and Japan. The intention of G7 is to punish President Vladimir V. Putin for his lightning acquisition of Crimea from Ukraine despite the warning from the G7 countries.
Following the organization of G7 allies president Obama and head of states of Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Canada and Japan gathered for the first time and held a two hour meeting to discuss their stand against Russia regarding the Ukraine issue.
