It is not very easy to maintain soft and beautiful hands especially when you are working out, cooking or doing any other household chores. Our nails get pampered only when we go to the salon and get a manicure. But, if we don’t get time for that too, then our hands never get a break from the works and hence remain hard and cracked. However, here we have compiled some tips that will help you in keeping your hands pretty and neat.

First and foremost, you need to keep the flakes or chips at bay, and it’s very easy to do. A simple hand scrub that you can make at home using raw honey and sugar will work wonders for you. If you use this couple of times a week, then you will be surprised to see the results.
KEEP A CUTICLE PEN ON HAND
This is somewhat similar to a concealer pen. However, this is filled with oil which helps in soothing the scraggly cuticles and thus helps in preventing painful hangnails. MOISTURIZE AFTER WASHING
If you find your hands cracked and dry, then soap and scalding hot water are pretty much the biggest culprits. Every time you clean, make sure that you follow up with lotion so as to add moisture back in. If you keep forgetting, then it is best to keep a moisturiser next to the sink so that you see it as and when you finish your wash.

KEEP NAILS SHORT
It is always best to keep your nails short. Long, almond shaped nails may look beautiful. However, when it comes to picking dirt under it all the time, it is better you switch to short nails. Try to trim your nails now and then and avoid unnecessary dirt.

WORK AROUND A CHIP
You could find this trick quite weird. However, you will thank us later when you try it. Grab the acetone at the first sign of chipped polish. However, do not use any elbow grease just yet. Now you need to soak a cotton ball in a tiny bit of nail polish remover and then lightly swipe it from the base of the nail nearing the tip. The remover will spread the colour and hide the chip enough to continue with your day. Once you are back at home, you can go forth with complete removal.

If you don’t have time to paint colour nail polish, you don’t have to worry. Clear nail polish can help you out here. If you’re in a hurry, just swipe on a top coat to give your nails a trace of shine. You cannot list this under ‘treatment’. But you can say that this small “trick” can create wonders.Just expose your delicate wrist area and you can see that it works wonders. If you have long sleeves, you need to roll up your sleeves and wear a dainty gold bracelet to make your hands look elongated and even more feminine. This is the same concept as exposing some ankle.
