Cochin: Kerala high court has demanded to ban student organizations which operate in educational institutions. As per the suggestion put forth by the court, the ideal method to stop the violent activities of the student organizations is to ban them. According to the court, the education is one of the fundamental rights in India. If the student organizations conduct strikes by not allowing others to study from the educational institutions, they must be banned. Strikes can be done by any organizations. But, the same should not be by prohibiting fundamental rights and freedom. The court then said that the student organizations must consider the mentality of other students who come to schools and colleges for studying.
The decision of the high court was on the basis of a petition regarding student strikes at Govt. Law College, Ernakulum.
