New Delhi: The Lok-Pal bill which was passed by the Rajya Sabha recently is also passed by the Lok Sabha. After this decision, the parliament called off their winter session. Samajvadi party and Siva Sena walked off from the meeting session to express their protest regarding the bill.

As the Lok-Pal bill passed by the parliament, Anna Hazare decided to call off his fast. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that the Lok-Pal bill which stands against corruption is a milestone in the history of independent India. According to the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and congress deputy chairperson Rahul Gandhi, the Lok-Pal bill is a suitable means to fight against corruption.
