Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told the media that the date for presentation of the Budget is tentatively fixed for January 17, but the scheduled is to be confirmed by the Business Advisory Committee of the House.

The Cabinet recommended to the Governor the convening of the Assembly from January 3. The House would be in session till February 12. The Cabinet finalised the memorandum to the submitted to the 14th Finance Commission which is visiting the State on January 18 and 19.
