Voting in the Delhi assembly election picks up as 34% turnout recorded till 1 pm.Polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly elections began at 8.am.Vice-president Hamid Ansari, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and Aravind Kejriwal were the prominent voters who exercised their franchise in early hours of the election.The polling has so far been peaceful and there have been no reports of any untoward incident,” a top Delhi Election Commission official said.While the Congress is looking to extend its winning streak with chief minister Dikshit eyeing a fourth consecutive term, the BJP is keen to outplay congress.It is, however, Kejriwal’s debuting AAP which should be watch out for.
