Kanpur: India defeated West Indies to take the series 2-1. India reached the total of 263 for the lost 5 wickets with 23 balls to spare against West Indies in the series decider match at the- Green Park stadium, in Kanpur .Shikhar dhawan made a blistering hundred (119 of 95 balls) which helped India to chase down the modest total.He was well supported by yuvraj who made 55.Earlier West Indies made 263 for the lost of 5 wickets. Kieran Powell(70), Marlon Samuels (71)and Darren Bravo (51 not out )struck half-centuries for West Indies .Comfortably placed at 137 for one at one stage, West Indies looked set for a big score but India staged a comeback with quick wickets to restrict West Indies to the manageable score.Towards the end, Darren Bravo and Darren Sammy (37 not out) played aggressively to take West Indies past the 260.For India, Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2 for 45 in 10 overs.
Shikhar dhawan was judged man of the match while kohli won the man of the series award.
