Lok Sabha poll, - “No alliance with Congress”

Chennai: In the coming Lok Sabha election DMK of Tamil Nadu has no intention to form an alliance with Congress. This decision was taken in the party’s general council meeting which held on the 15th of this month. The council has authorized the party president M. Karunanidhi and the general secretary K. Anpazhakan to review the technicalities and alliances that they have to adopt during the coming Lok Sabha Poll. The council has also suggested forming a separate committee to take key decisions regarding the forthcoming poll.

The new decision of DMK not to join with Congress is on the basis of the central Government’s approach towards the issue of Sri Lankan Tamils.
