Bhopal: Brisk polling was underway in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections ,Monday with 26 percent turnout reported till noon, an Election Commission official said. Polling for the 230-member Madhya Pradesh legislative assembly began at 8 am. Braving the cold morning, many voters queued up at some polling centres even before these were opened. Polling was by and large peaceful barring a few stray incidents at some places.Firing was reported between two groups from Lahar constituency in Bhind district.Polling was boycotted by people at some stations in nine Assembly constituencies including Hoshangabad, Ratlam, Gwalior, Raisen and Umaria,officials said.
