Beijing; U.S. first lady Michelle Obama encouraged rural students in China to think high goals and secure good education despite humble roots. She was in a speech with the students belonging to the remote communities in southwestern China.
She mentioned about basketball star Lebron James and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz as examples who came from modest backgrounds before succeeding in their life later. In her speech she advised students to work hard with self-confidence as a key technique to succeed.
Michelle Obama was speaking to 700 students as well as 12000 rural students on the last leg of a six-day, three-city tour of China through satellite-enabled distance-learning technology.
