Thiruvanandapuram: Narcotics worth Rs. 12 Crore has been seized from a foreign female student called Elder who belongs to Zimbabwe. She was arrested by the intelligence unit of air customs at the Thiruvanandapuram international airport for carrying 25 Kilograms narcotics which fall to the category of Efdrin. On questioning she revealed that the narcotics were handed-over to her from a hotel in Thiruvanandapuram. Customs officials said that she would be brought to the court only after questioning her in detail.
Her intention was to go to Doha by a Khather airways. She was carrying two two check-in bags and a hand bag. Earlier the intelligence wing had informed that Thiruvanandapuram is in the hands of narcotics smuggling. The thorough examination of her baggage were on the basis of this information.
