Meanwhile, the responsibility to contain the Taliban militants in Afghanistan is on the shoulders of Pakistan army. Currently they are fighting with the Afghan rebels camping at the North eastern sector of their country.
The US military officials are in a proposal to dispose their used vehicles and weapons worth $7 billion. Since Pakistan is one of their allies to fight terrorism, it will be an ideal decision to hand over these used military equipments to Pakistan army who have been fighting with Taliban militants. At present, the discussions regarding this matter are in full swing.
In this Free of cost arms deal, Pakistan is highly interested in the US Army’s mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles. The availability of these special vehicles will enable Pakistan forces to minimize casualty rates either by mine blast or bomb blast considerably. According to one of the Pakistan military officials, they are highly in need of these ambush protected vehicles since they have been fighting with the Taliban insurgents.
