Manila: The Mudpack Festival is a famous cultural celebrations in Philippines.
Generally it is held during the third (3rd) week of June every year.
The festival is attracted local as well as foreign tourists. Hence during these days there will be a heavy flow of foreign tourists to Philippines.
It celebrates to point out the harmony of man and nature and encourages environmentalism among young people.
The festival also serves as a venue for artistic talents of Occidental Negros who gather and exhibit their artistic abilities in ethnic music, dance and crafts.
Hence this is a symbolic celebration of ‘primitive people’ once who were opposite to the modern world
Highlights of the festival are the Tribal Dance Competition, Clay Body Painting Competition, Solo Dance Improvisation and the Miss Earth Mambukal Pageant. Hence this is a festival of arts too.
It is celebrated by Mambukal Resort in Philippines annually for its continuous advocacy in promoting their mission to preserve the environment.
