Thiruvanandapuram: Customs has seized sandalwood at Thiruvanandhapuram airport from a plane which was going to Colombo.  As per the secret information received, the plane was called back by the customs and made to re-land at the Thiruvanandhapuram airport. Three persons were arrested in connection with the smuggling. Earlier the plane was taken off from the Thiruvanandhapuram airport after the completion of all customs formalities. But at that time due to oversight they could not trace out the sandalwood. Fifteen minutes after the take off of the plane, an anonymous information was received by the customs regarding the sandalwood smuggling in the plane. Then the airport authorities called back the plane for enabling the customs officials to seize the smuggled goods.
