United Nations: Three Indian army men belonged to the UN peacekeeping force were killed by the attack of extremists in south Sudan. About 2000 extremists were entered in to the UN office at Sudan and demanded to release 30 South Sudan natives who had sought refuge at the UN 0ffice. Indian army men who were guarding the UN office, refused their demand. This provoked them and opened indiscriminate firing against army men killing three of them on the spot. At that time, there were 43 Indian army men and six UN officials in the office. The UN officials were managed to escape without any injuries. The Indian peace keeping force has been employed to protect the common men in Sudan from the disturbances of the extremists. Asook Mukerji, the Indian Ambassador in UN said that the Indian army men in Sudan are working in highly unfavorable circumstances. Earlier in April, about five Indian army men were killed in Sudan by the terrorist attack.
