Indian diplomat may get pre trial waiver in U

Indian Diplomat Devayani Khobragade who has been arrested on account of fake visa issue may get waiver from attending the pre-trial session which is proposed to conduct on Monday, the 23rd December. Even though this is not confirmed the approach of the United States regarding this issue seems to be towards the positive direction. As far as India is concerned, this is highly important because as per the pre trial procedures in US, Devayani would have to be attended for another round of physical as well as fingerprint tests.

Earlier, she was subjected for such tests on December 16th. At the same time by discussion, the two sides have come to the conclusion that another round of such medical tests would only generate opportunities for negative publicity. Moreover, such circumstances would minimize the chances for a complete resolution regarding the issue.
