1 Week Detox DIet Plan

Detoxing can do more than make your eyes sparkle and your skin glow – it can boost energy levels, improve digestion and help lose a few unwanted kilos too. This diet will not only put the body through a detoxification process but reduces weight as well. Toxins are stored in the fatty areas of the body. This approach can initiate rapid fat loss and hence, detoxification. This detox will cleanse the body and set it up for better overall health after the seven days.It is very important to drink at least 8 to 12 glasses of water every day when you are following this diet plan. You can also have two to three cups of unsweetened herbal or spice teas (such as ginger, dandelion, fennel or yarrow act as useful detoxifiers) every day.

Day 1 – Vegetables and fruits or simply only fruits

On day one, stick to only vegetables and fruits starting from breakfast to dinner. Eat them as a whole or as fresh juices. Choose combinations with special detox powers such as apple and carrot, which works as a tonic, or raspberry and peach which is great if you are overtired. Have no more than three glasses of juice today.
Alternately, to effectively reduce weight along with detoxing, stick to only fruits today, except for banana. If you limit your fruit consumption to more melons and apple, it will help to lose weight easily.

Day 2 – Have potatoes and other vegetables

Potatoes are a source of potassium, an essential mineral needed for the whole body. Boil one and a half pounds of potatoes and divide them as equally as you are able into three portions. You can mix your potatoes with vegetables and make a salad. Or have mashed potatoes with hot milk and chopped parsley or dill. Alternately, eat only vegetables and a portion of potato today (if you had only fruits yesterday). You can eat them either cooked or raw. You can have a baked potato for breakfast on this day, with a pat of butter. This will provide the body with the complex carbohydrates that will provide energy for the rest of the day. Vegetables provide plenty of essential nutrients and fibre and are virtually calorie-free.

Day 3 – Have rice or only a mixture of fruits and vegetables

Cook about seven ounces of rice and divide into five portions. Eat one portion of the rice every two hours. If white rice is too bland for your taste buds add some vegetable soup free of fat or some tomato juice.
Alternately, except for bananas and potatoes, you can eat a mixture of fruit and vegetables today (if you had only vegetables yesterday).

4 – Fruits for the day

Today have one slice of bread, three and a half ounces of cheese and one apple or pear. Eat only fruits for the remainder of the day. Try to eat at least three pounds of fruit today.
Alternately, eat up to eight bananas, milk and soup today (if you haven’t have bananas in the past three days). The bananas are important because they will help to replace the potassium and sodium that the body would have lost in the previous three days.

Day 5 – Pasta or beef and tomatoes

You can have pasta today. Boil one half of the bag today with salted water and divide into four portions. Breakfast today is a slice of bread, one teaspoon of butter and one boiled egg. Drink tons of water today, about forty ounces.Alternately, you will eat beef and tomatoes: six whole tomatoes and two 10 oz. portions of beef. All of the tomatoes should be eaten but not all the beef needs to be consumed. Increase your water intake by one quart today to help the body cleanse itself of the uric acid that will be produced by digesting the beef. The meat will provide your body with iron and protein and tomatoes provide fibre, which aids digestion.

Day 6 – Veggies or beef and veggies

For breakfast have one slice of bread, one teaspoon of butter and one boiled egg. After breakfast eat about two pounds of veggies today. Alternately, you can eat beef again today (if you had the beef-tomatoes yesterday) and replace the tomatoes with a variety of vegetables of your own choosing.

Day 7 – Meats or rice, fruit juices and veggies

On the last day breakfast begins with one slice of bread, 1 teaspoon of butter, 1 ounce of cheese, one tomato and a few slices of onion. Lunch is 3.5 ounces of broiled beef, 4.5 ounces potato with one tablespoon of vegetable oil or Olive oil. Dinner is 3.5 ounces of green salad, three tomatoes, and one small onion, three and a half ounces of veggie roots, three and a half ounces of broiled fish and one slice of wholegrain bread.Alternately, have brown rice, fruit juice and unlimited vegetables. After following the meal plan for the last seven days, you should have completely cleansed and flushed out your system and should also find that you are 10 to 17 lbs. lighter than you were a week ago.
