Angoon(Alaska): It is said that a seaplane has almost landed on a surfacing whale in the remote village of Angoon at Alaska.
The aircraft was within feet of crashing into a humpback of the whale.
The seaplane rider De Havilland Beaver was about to land in a apparently calm bay and then pulled up sharply when the surfacing whale blew-up a spring of water over the plane’s windshield.
Fortunately no harm was happened to the seaplane which landed safely after some seconds.
