Indian bride rejects wedding when groom fails


Kanpur: An Indian bride is reported to have walked out of her wedding ceremony when the groom failed to solve a simple problem related to mathematics.
During the skill testing event, the sum got by the groom was wrong.
This made the bride to walk off from the venue.
The question asked by the bride was the sum of 15 plus six.
The answer told by the groom was 17.
The incident was taken place in Rasoolabad village near the industrial town of Kanpur in northern Uttar Pradesh state in India
The groom’s family were tried persuading the bride to return, but she refused.
She said that the groom had misled them about his education.
The bride’s father said that even a first grader could answer this correctly.
Local police mediated between the families and both sides returned all the gifts and jewelry that had been exchanged before the wedding.
