New York: A man from USA is reported to have completed100 marathons in 100 days.
The venue of the epic challenge was in New York’s Times Square where he was greeted by large crowds.
The youth called Daren Wendell is said to have started this great challenge from Santa Monica, California on January 1st this year.
He is reported to have used 30 pairs of running shoes during this historic event.
His aim was to raise money and spread awareness among people about the need of clean water in some parts of Africa.
Wendell, 33, Canton, Ohio used to have 6 to 7,000 calories per day to keep up his energy level.
He breaks the run as much as three times during the each day run to eat in order to fulfill his goal of running 100 marathons in 100 days.
He is expected to collect more than $100,000 for the establishment of clean water in Africa.
Technically he’s running more than a marathon, at an average of 29.5 miles per day.
So he will surely meet the achievement even though one day is remaining to reach the 100th day.
In another incident a marathon man is reported to have beaten a rescue horse in a 10 mile (16 km) countryside race.
The youth called Adam Holland (27) from Tavistock, was raced with the animal for charity purpose.
Mr Holland has created the world record for being the youngest and fastest person to run 10 marathons in 10 days.
