Pulpally Cave is located very near to the historic Pazhassi tomb. The cave was the main shelter to Pazhassi Raja during his revolt with the British. A sword obtained from this site is being kept in the Pazhassi Museum situated underground at the tomb site. This is an ideal place for tourists who love to visit historically important locations. The walls of the cave have to tell a lot about his braveness, fighting skills, patriotism and reluctance to get defeated by his enemies. The environmental beauty of this landscape location really enchanting. The elevated areas seen at the background of this momentous place is the Banasura hill. The tribal people of the Banasura hill ranges were the companions of Pazhassi Raja and his wife during their life in the evergreen forest in Wayanad.
