US air-drops in the midst of air-strikes

United States: Pentagon reported that the US air-force has conducted its second air-drop of food and water to thousands of Iraqis hiding in mountains from Jihadist fighters while the air-strikes targeting militants are in full swing on the other side.
The air drop was just hours after the fresh air strikes launched by the US air-force against militants from the Islamic State (IS).
Sunni Muslim group IS, formerly known as ISIS, has taken control of certain areas of Iraq and Syria and has also seized Iraq’s largest dam.
The group which recently made fresh gains in northern Iraq has been threatening the Kurdish in city of Irbil.
The US is also pressurizing on Iraqi leaders to form a unity government capable of dealing with the Jihadists.
