J&K: Two BSF personnel are reported to have killed and at least 12 injured when militants attacked a BSF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the retaliation, one militant is reported to have been killed while the encounter is still continuing.
Officials said that he militants were thrown grenades and opened fire on the convoy when it reached Nassu belt on its way from Jammu to Srinagar.
As per the reports the attack was just a short while after a batch of pilgrims to the Himalayan shrine of Amarnath were passed by.
Army and police have rushed to the spot and entire area has been kept under alert.
Massive combing operations have been launched in nearby areas. The injured are taken to near by hospital.
Following the attack, vehicular movement on the highway has been stopped temporarily.
