India offers help to eradicate Syria’s chemic


India has offered the services of its experts to help in the destruction of Damascus’ chemical weapons arsenal and related facilities. India has also decided to offer a contribution of 1 million dollars for use in the destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons and related facilities by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

The services of its experts to be used by the OPCW in the destruction verification activity as well as training slots for personnel participating in the UN/OPCW mission for the destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons, said a Ministry of External Affairs news release.

India has found support from Russia for its participation in an international conference called Geneva-II which seeks to bring together all warring parties, domestic and international, to stablilise Syria.
