Islamabad (Pkistan): The agitation conducted by the opposition in Pakistan demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has become violent.
The Demonstrators who were loyal to the opposition politician Imran Khan, said that Mr. Sharif was corrupt as well as an electoral fraud.
The opposition volunteers had sparking crashes with the police which continued overnight.
In the violence, police fired rubber bullets and tear gas at protesters who were armed with sticks.
The protesters were said to have broken the security barriers created by the police to move closer to Mr Sharif’s residence.
Regarding the encounter between the police and protesters, Pakistan’s army commanders expressed severe concern. They said that they would support for democracy in the country.
In the incident, three people were dead while hundreds hurt.
