Peshawar: The alleged planner of the deadly massacre at a school in Pakistan is said to have been killed by the security forces in an encounter.
The security forces were moving according to the intelligence information.
They stormed the Bara area last night and engaged in an hour-long shootout with the militant who is known by the name “Saddam”.
This was informed by a top Pakistani government official in the Khyber tribal region.
According to the head of Khyber police administration Ali Shah, Saddam was killed in a raid while his six followers captured during the raid were found wounded in the encounter.
He said that the militants are brought to custody for further questioning by the authorities.
Saddam is said to have helped plan the recent militant attack at a military-run school in Peshawar.
Among the 148 people died in the incident, 132 were innocent children.
